Using proven models for developing
high performance teams, Jane has been helping organizations for over
25 years to realize and optimize their capability via teamwork.
Her methods are practical and
results-based, focusing on achieving the specific team’s goals
and objectives and clarifying the roles and responsibilities
of the members who comprise the team. Additionally, by explicitly
establishing key team processes, she helps the team become
more effective immediately. Finally, Jane works to examine and
reinforce the healthy interpersonal relationships critical to
success, including, as necessary, conflict intervention and
resolution among individual members or existing throughout an
organization or team.
When working with New Product
Development and Customer Relationship teams, Jane helps ensure a
consistent process, defining the role of senior management in
program oversight, clarifying functional deliverables to the team,
ensuring supporting infrastructure and processes are in place, and
defining the necessary development and recognition systems to ensure
institutionalization of the new product or service delivery system.
With Executive and Departmental teams,
Jane works to ensure visions, missions, and values are in place,
helps establish strategic plans and operational objectives, designs
leadership development systems, sets up systems to monitor
performance and results, and works with the team to ensure their
communication is clear, their decision making is thorough, and their
meetings are effective. Finally, Jane works with the team on their
interpersonal relationships, using Myers-Briggs as a tool to
increase appreciation and valuing of natural style differences,
modulate conflict, and capitalize on synergies.
She is often called in to start teams
off on the right foot, in addition to facilitating interventions in
teams that have gotten off track due to unresolved conflict, unclear
processes, or any other barrier that obstructs team effectiveness.
Management,
Leadership, & Executive Development & Coaching
Jane also is expert in designing,
developing, and facilitating Management & Executive Education, on
topics ranging from Performance Management to Business Process
Re-engineering, from Career Development to Conflict Resolution, and
from Strategic Planning to Surviving Organization Change. She
often is called upon to coach executives and managers in specific
developmental areas critical to their individual success as well as
design organization-wide leadership development systems affecting
all leaders/managers in a company. She also greatly enjoys and is
extremely effective teaching consulting skills to Human Resources
professionals interested in establishing true business partnerships
with their internal clients through effective organization
consulting.
External Teaching
Jane guest lectures on Teams at the
Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, at the Executive Development
Program at USC, and at the Stanford Executive Summer Series. She
also is on the Faculty for the Anderson Consulting and accenture
Development Center focused on New Product Development Teams.
She also teaches both Managing
Large Scale Change and Managing the Virtual Workforce in
the Professional Development Department at San Jose State,
Certificate Program for Human Resources Management. |
